As you enter Darcy Hey Cottage you are greeted with warm and inviting natural hues and a rustic, freestanding wood burning stove that gives a real sense of home. Drop chandelier lighting frames the high ceilings, matched with solid oak flooring throughout the ground floor.

The lounge is the perfect place to unwind with a large plasma screen TV, FreeSat box, DVD player and library. Additional entertainment comes in the form of high speed Wi-Fi, a CD player, radio and iPod docking station. With soft mink sofas ready to sink into, the lounge has all you need for a cosy night in.

The spacious kitchen is finished to the highest standard, with contemporary solid oak worktops and a large Belfast ceramic sink. Providing all of the latest mod cons, appliances, quality kitchenware and crockery, cooking in this country style kitchen is a dream. A freestanding five-ring Range cooker will do much of the work for you.

The first light and airy bedroom features a cream metal double bed and modern French country living furnishings, including a chest of six drawers and a matching dressing table, elegant mirror and chair.

Beautiful furnishings continue into the second bedroom, with touches of modern art that surround a black and chrome metal double bed with plump pillows and decorative cushions. A large chest of three drawers and double wardrobe gives you plenty of storage space in this contemporary bedroom.

The bathroom features a sophisticated suite comprising a large white freestanding roll top bath and a wall mounted wash basin, mirror and WC. A fully tiled interior, solid oak flooring and chrome fixtures and fittings complement the luxurious feel.

Darcy Hey Cottage is perfect for those both with and without transport. A large variety of activities for all ages lie on your doorstep, from restaurants and bars to cinemas and the Broad Street Plaza, offering local events, great food and intimate dining. Alternatively, guests don’t have to venture far to visit Leeds, Manchester, Bradford and Wakefield via the easily accessible M62 motorway.

Just minutes away from the cottage is Halifax town centre, Sowerby Bridge and Copley, each thriving with their own seasonal local festivals, museums and a range of indoor and outdoor activities suitable for children and adults. Excellent transport links give you flexible travel options throughout the local area, with buses to and from Halifax running every 5-10 minutes.

What can I say, the most beautiful cosy cottage we have ever stayed in. The accommodation in Halifax was like a dream come true, everything had been thought about for all age groups young children to the elderly. Great place, beautifully furnished throughout, very spacious with large rooms, immaculately clean, everything you could want and more, a beautiful village, a wonderful pub just a stone through away which was perfect to get away from the hustle & bustle of a busy life. The initial booking with Simple2let serviced apartment was effortless, we had reassuring emails and texts checking all was ok and if help was needed the staff was available.
