Tour De Yorkshire 2015: Close to the Action
As excitement builds for the first ever Tour De Yorkshire, visitors are flocking to all areas of the region including Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds, York, Wakefield, Scarborough and many more in order to get a slice of the cycling action.
Starting on Friday 1st May 2015 and taking place over the course of three days, the route for the big race has finally been released and consists of three stages. Stage One starts in Bridlington and finishes in Scarborough; Stage Two will start in Selby and finish in York, and Stage Three begins in Wakefield, with the grand finale ending in Leeds.
Cycling enthusiasts across the country will gather with locals to watch the gruelling three-day trek take place surrounded by Yorkshire’s natural beauty. Regional events such as this one often draw in new guests and visitors who are looking for a place to stay in the midst of the excitement, with hotels, B&Bs, serviced apartments and other vacancies being filled very quickly. Luxury serviced apartments are a popular bet, with guests looking for comfortable and flexible accommodation at a lower cost than a hotel.
With so much to see and do in Yorkshire, many people are making a holiday out of the event and taking time to explore the rest of the surrounding areas while they stay. An abundance of art, design and photography exhibitions, real ale and food festivals, live music and rural escapes also await new and regular visitors.
